We have a couple of bird houses at the Hummingbird Inn, a Lexington, VA area bed and breakfast that have been, well, kinda neglected. We slapped a coat of white paint on them then other day, and they looked a whole lot better. But then we thought, maybe we could find some artistic talent out there that would like to come to the Inn for a weekend, and reallllly spruce them up.
Announcing the ‘Paint the Hummingbird Inn Bird House’ contest. Submit your design to innkeeper@hummingbirdinn.com, and you may be the one chosen to bring your ideas to life! There are 2 bird houses, so we will choose 2 different designs. Each chosen artist will be invited to spend a weekend at the Hummingbird while they transform their bird house. Entries will be accepted until the end of May. Be creative, and good luck.
Just for reference, the support post is 3.5 inches x 3.5 inches x 44 inches; the front of the bird house is 5.5 inches x 8 inches; the sides are 5.5 inches wide x 13 inches on the long side; the roof is 7.5 inches x 8 inches.
