Named for the family that expanded the Inn to its current size in 1853, the Teter-Wood room is on the first floor and was formerly the family library. Gracious in proportions, it features a cozy queen-size iron bed, comfortable seating and a bathroom with a ceramic tile shower.
An electric fireplace stove sits on the old hearth. The Teter-Wood may be entered from a private doorway on the side of the house, and has limited handicap access. It also has a private outside sitting area adjacent to our shade garden, with a view of the backyard gardens and the historic 1875 barn.
Our only first-floor room, the Teter-Wood is appropriate for senior travel. Its veranda gives it a private suite feel, a perfect Virginia retreat in Goshen.
